Nike’s self-lacing shoes will go on sale this year:

Nike has revealed its initially combine of marketed self-binding shoes, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0. A small number of Nike+ clients can book an appointment and purchase the shoes through the "Saved for You" area of the app. In case you're excluded in that group, the HyperAdapt shoes will go discounted December 1 at two Nike locations in New York City. The HyperAdapt 1.0 shoes will cost $720 (~£580).

"When you venture in, your heel will hit a sensor and the framework will consequently fix," clarified Tiffany Beers, the venture's specialized lead. Nike really refers to the innovation as "versatile binding" instead of "self-binding" on the grounds that there are two catches in favor of the shoe that allow you to tweak how loose or tight the bands are. In the hypothesis, the spots will then be held in that position, keeping your bands from coming undone while running, slam dunking, or generally striving.
